microDAO: A Community-Driven Solution to Tackle AMR

microDAO addresses critical gaps in the AMR innovation funnel through a community-driven, evidence-based approach. Operating as a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO), it will transform how AMR solutions are developed through two key mechanisms:

  • A community-owned platform of tools that serves dual purposes:

    • Enabling comprehensive evidence-gathering and data collection to improve decision-making

    • Accelerating R&D pipelines for next-generation antimicrobials, vaccines, and diagnostics

    • Generating sustainable revenue to fund further AMR solution development

  • An efficient, responsive funding process that:

    • Uses evidence gathered through community tools to guide investment decisions

    • Reduces bureaucratic overhead while maintaining proper oversight

    • Ensures equitable allocation of resources based on demonstrated needs

This approach creates a virtuous cycle where better evidence leads to smarter funding decisions, while community tools both enable solution development and generate resources for further investment.
