Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses one of the most significant health challenges of the 21st century. With recent projections indicating over 39 million deaths by , the fast spread of resistant infections demands urgent attention and innovative solutions. microDAO, as a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO), is a pioneering initiative to combat this crisis through a decentralised community-funded approach that backs new antimicrobials, vaccines, and diagnostics development. In the age of declining investments and an exodus of qualified experts and funding, microDAO will reinvigorate efforts to tackle the rising incidence of AMR by providing tools, funding and commercialisation partners to bring the next breakthrough antimicrobials, vaccines, and diagnostics from lab to market in an equitable manner.
